Thank you for this reminder, Kat. Viet Nam was, and is, a country. So is Congo. So is Somalia. So is Ukraine. So is every war-ravaged place on this earth. They are countries with beautiful and interesting places and people. There is so much more to them behind the headlines.
So much more . . . for better or for worse, war brings them into our awareness. If we can reach beyond that initial introduction, so much is possible. May we someday not need war and violence to expand our reach!
