Congratulations on your book party, dear Kat and what a fab, resonant gift for you. You stamped me with the first photo: couldn't guess what it was at first. :-D

Thank you for the congrats and love that at first you didn't recognize the part of the elephant you saw . . . but then there it was :->.

Hi Denise, it was a lovely event and so sorry you missed it too. I know you and Scott have a soft spot for Round Lake :) so I'm happy to announce there will be another book event at the Malta Library on 10/26--I'll be sending more details soon. (Eek, sorry for the commercial here!) I'm so glad you love the little elephant . . . your appreciation adds a new level of "shine" to it! <3

Dearest Sister ~ I love this post about your receiving a very special small elephant. And yes, I still have the Saigon elephant. And here it will stay as a family heirloom, protector and champion symbol for overcoming obstacles. It certainly did that in Vietnam and in all subsequent years. Cheers to all of your sharing(s) and your new book! XOXOXO

Love to hear that. It's nice to know that the erstwhile "elephant in the living room" will be standing sentinel for you / us into the future. Thanks for all your cheerful support! xoxoxo
